BackPack Professional Newsreader is just more than a simple Usenet browser. It is actually a powerful software that has many other functions such as backup, CD/DVD burning software, Uploading and publishing a website, compress and email files, and restore functionality. The Newsreader function of BackPackPro just happens to be one of many functions. Within the newsreader portion of the software is a reader with many options. Backpackpro supports headers and SSL. It also allows you to sort your results by subject, poster and size of the file. The built in Photo slide show viewer makes browsing picture files very easy. As the files download, you can view them in full screen mode while the previous images are all in thumbnail views. In addition to all the general features most newsreaders already offer, Backpack Pro offers a few that make it unique. It allows you to keep your Usenet downloads private as you are downloading the file. You can create rules to automatically rename the files as they download and even apply 128 or 256bit password encryption. If you live a busy life, you can also schedule the newsreader to run unattended- while you are away. If you are looking for a newsreader that is a more than just a newsreader, we recommend taking a look at backpack pro.

If you are interested in testing this newsreader, make sure you have a Binary Usenet provider.
